Welcome to Syntactic Academy at https://syntactic-academy.com (the “Service”). These Terms govern your access to and use of the Service. By creating an account, starting a subscription, making a payment, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Who operates the Service

Syntactic Academy is currently operated by an individual in Thailand under the name Syntactic Academy. If the Service is later transferred to or operated by a registered legal entity, we may update these Terms with the registered entity’s name and details.

The Service and educational purpose

We provide English-learning materials and tools, including video lessons, grammar and vocabulary explanations, dictionary features, interactive lesson tools, learning-progress features, and related content. The Service is educational; we do not guarantee a particular language level, score, exam result, academic result, or employment outcome.

The Foundations Beta / early access

The Service is currently offered as the Syntactic: The Foundations Beta. At this stage, paid membership includes the Sentence Structure Anchor Lesson, its interactive Companion Box, and the current production interface. Additional August curriculum content is included as it is released. The catalog is intentionally limited and evolving; we may update, add, remove, delay, or modify features and content, and do not guarantee a particular lesson count or release date.

Accounts and minors

You must provide accurate, current account information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You must not sell, share, rent, transfer, or give another person access to your account, paid content, or subscription benefits. A parent or legal guardian must create, authorize, or pay for an account used by a learner under 18 and is responsible for supervising that learner’s use.

Subscription, renewal, and payments

The paid subscription currently costs 321 Thai baht (THB) per month. Price, billing frequency, currency, and included features are shown before payment. We may change the price for future periods with notice where required by law. For The Foundations Beta, an early adopter who keeps an uninterrupted subscription retains the 321 THB monthly rate for that subscription.

Your subscription automatically renews each month unless you cancel before the next billing date. By subscribing, you authorize Syntactic Academy and Stripe to charge the recurring monthly fee, including applicable taxes, using your selected payment method until cancellation. Stripe processes payments; we do not store complete payment-card details.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time through the billing-management area, Stripe Customer Portal where available, or by contacting contact.support@syntactic-academy.com. Cancellation stops future renewal charges, and paid access continues until the end of the current paid billing period. We use Stripe’s end-of-current-period cancellation model.

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and cancellation does not create a refund for unused time. We may review exceptional technical or billing errors case by case when contacted within 7 days of the charge with sufficient information to investigate. See our Refund Policy for details.

Refund-security rule

All approved refunds are issued only through Stripe to the original payment method used for the relevant purchase. Syntactic Academy does not issue refunds by bank transfer, PromptPay, cash, cryptocurrency, e-wallet transfer, or to a different payment account or person. This protects customers and helps prevent fraud; where appropriate, we may request additional information before issuing a refund.

Fraud and suspicious activity

We may delay, restrict, suspend, or cancel access where we reasonably suspect unauthorized payment use, card testing, account abuse, fraudulent activity, or a violation of these Terms. Where appropriate, we may request additional information before restoring access or issuing a refund.

Acceptable use

Your subscription grants a limited, personal, non-commercial right to use the Service. You must not copy, download, screen-record, reproduce, distribute, sell, publicly display, or commercially exploit content except where clearly permitted; share accounts, passwords, paid content, signed video links, or access; bypass payment, access, or security controls; use bots or scrapers without permission; reverse engineer, disrupt, damage, or interfere with the Service; or transmit malware, spam, harmful, or unlawful material. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, fraud, payment abuse, or security risk.

Intellectual property and availability

The Service and its videos, scripts, explanations, exercises, designs, software, branding, graphics, interfaces, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Syntactic Academy and protected by applicable law. Your subscription grants no ownership—only a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to access paid features while active and compliant.

We aim for reliable availability, but do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free access. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, internet, hosting, third-party outages, security concerns, or events outside our reasonable control.

Third parties, termination, and liability

The Service uses or may link to Stripe, Supabase, Bunny Stream, and other third parties, each under its own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control. You may stop using the Service at any time; we may suspend or terminate access as reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or the Service, comply with law, prevent fraud, or address security risks.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Syntactic Academy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim connected with the Service will not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months before the event. Nothing removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes, governing law, and contact

We may update these Terms when the Service, pricing, business structure, or law changes; we will post the updated terms and effective date. Continued use after they take effect means acceptance unless law requires otherwise. These Terms are governed by Thai law, and disputes are subject to Thai courts unless mandatory law requires another venue.
